Electro Swing - Compilation of some of the best tunes out there at the moment.

Don't think a music style has shaken me as much as this since hip hop a bit more than 25 years ago. it joins the two ends for me: old school jazz and dance/electro music. :D

He's playing the New Years gig in Vicar street with Cathy Davey, Lisa Hannigan, Neil Hannon etc as far as I know. I kind of really want to go.

Wow that would be awesome, but I bet it costs 50 million euros. Wonder how long til all this austerity affects gig tickets.

Yep E50 million. Or E35 but it's the same thing anyway. I'm getting a flight to and from Holland in January for that too though. Makes you wonder...

.... a lot of David Gray and some Cara Dillon. I saw David Gray over the summer and was very impressed by his energy on stage. Always thought he'd be boring and depressing but he showed me, I guess. So a big fan now. Cara Dillon was the first person i saw on screen when I turned Other Voices on for the first time many years ago and didn't know what the programme was, so I said I'd give her a chance. Not really my kind of music but I do like some of her stuff a lot.

I managed to get to that gig in The Button Factory ... Really enjoyed it.

They are announced to play Oxegen, so I reckon they'll play here seperately in Oct/Nov
