Yeah you have to either be shit hot at what you do or very lucky to get sponsorship it seems. My job is actually being moved to Texas. I've been offered another job in the same office as I'm in now, but I'm thinking of trying out Dallas for a year or so. It's pretty big money to move down too, which makes it all the more appealing!
What line of work are you in yourself? Outside of IT, I wouldn't really know where to recommend you to look.

I'm not in any line of work, unless you count milking cows, but I did Public and Social Policy in college which is a nice broad area with plenty of jobs but all very specific and my broad degree and lack of experience will work against me there but hopefully I'll swing something.
Dallas sounds like a win in every way. it will do no harm anyway, unless you become a Cowboys fan. That would be just awful.

Nah... Patriots, Celtics and Bruins all the way! That being said, I'm sure I'll end up at a Cowboys game at some stage. What I'm looking forward to most is catching a few Mavs games, although it looks like there won't be an NBA season next year. Don't watch the baseball at all.
If you have any questions or anything coming over, let me know! Are there many of ye coming over?

I'm a lone wolf. Actually I'm not. My girlfriend is over there and, after two and a half years of long distance, it's getting the stage where one of us had to move and I was at nothing else so I said why not.
I should be ok on the question side of things anyway but if I have anything I won't hesitate.

More than a body but less than a soul, gotta find me something to fill this hole
If finding (and buying) some haloumi cheese is part of those little things that make your day, it's gonna be ok.
No idea how to eat it. Any special recipe?

Where on earth did you find haloumi? I've tried a dozen different stores in three states and even looked for it while in Italy a couple months ago with no luck.

In the new Tesco store which opened last week in Cabra, Dublin 7. The song has obviously triggered an upsurge in the demand. I wonder if Bell X1 has signed a secret deal with some cypriot cheese makers... My advise is to try and find a greek store. You might have more chance there.
And I shall try this receipe then. The good thing about it too is that it lasts for ages. It can wait next year to use it. Let's hope it's good now...

I don't believe in ghost but some weird stuff happening in my place. Or else, there's a bat or a bird in my gaff, or maybe a flying mouse. It's gonna be ok...

If the movers are coming in 8 hours, and it still hasn't hit you you're moving to Texas, it's gonna be ok!

Work wise not very well. I've applied for Home Depot and Target at this stage even though I'm not sure how legal it would be for me to work there but I have an SSN so it should be fine I think. That is of course if any of them get back to me. I think I'll be calling the boys in Southie to see if they have any work on the buildings though.
I'm living in Wakefield which is way north, even further up than where the orange line ends but it's only about an hour commute to Downtown Crossing so it's not bad really. Where in Texas are you going to be?
