Hey all, I am a newbie. Yet, I have been a creeper on the board for a while (just scared to post…sorry) and a Bellies fan since I stumbled on them when I was in Dublin.

I am from LA, but moved to Pittsburgh a few years ago. Anyone heading to Philly in Nov? I cannot get a single person in Pitt to drive with me, so I am flying back to Cali to see them instead. But thinking about Philly...

And did some one mention buns???

Hiya! I'm Dana from Lexington, KY. The fellas showed up on my radar a couple of years ago, when I started listening to WXPN out of the University of Pennsylvania. Through a friend who lived in Dublin for several years, I ran across Phantom 105.2 (now my favorite online station and main source for new music). That's where I really delved into the world of Bell X1. Catchy tunes, quirky lyrics - how can you not love 'em?!

I'm here mainly to see if I can find a somewhat local fan who'll go to their show in Nashville in November with me. Fingers crossed! I suspect I'll also find some not-so-local fan-friends as well. :D

What is it about Philly that have taken the band to heart, The Liberty Bellx1 maybe ?

I don’t know what it is about Philly, I have never been. But I was willing to go on a reconnaissance mission to find out, if it wasn’t for all my Pittsburgh friends not wanting to travel so far. :(

Hi I'm new here but not new to the band. Been a fan for a few years now. Saw them for the first time down in DC at the RocknRoll Hotel and was blown away (as I thought I would be). Catching them again this time around at the Ram's Head Inn in Nov. Wish I was going to Philly surfergirl but I cant make that date. I have a few photos to share so I will be off not to find a photo thread. Ta

edit: Is there a photo thread?

Hi woolladyfelter! :) I haven't been here in so long, I forgot my password for a moment. It's a bit slow, isn't it?

Hello! My name's John and I was introduced to Bell X1 a couple of years ago, when my sister gave a tour to a group from Ireland and one of them told her to look up Bad Skin Day. I found it for her, gave it a listen and was not so impressed. A few of their songs were okay, but I kind of forgot about them. Then, a few summers ago, I'll See Your Heart came up on random and I was hardcore hooked. The rest of their stuff was not quite speaking to me still though. Then came a really nice acoustic Rocky (I am a sucker for a good acoustic) and that led to Alphabet Soup and The Great Defector and Rib and more and more songs were suddenly the best things ever. So when I saw they were going to be performing in Denver in November (I'm in Utah), I caught a flight. It was a great time: I was totally blown away. Since then, they're about all I've been listening to. It amazes me just how much there is to each of their songs. And I do not know what I was thinking, Bad Skin Day is such a good song!

There are just a few things that make me sad though! There seems to be a major lack of bootlegs (I would do bad bad things for a good copy of one of their live acoustic sets!) and both the teapots and the BellyCosis are sold out. They are so amusing.

Anyway, glad to be here!

Welcome to what is a very quiet forum nowadays. There should some stale buns and tarry tea somewhere. Sit down and make yourself at home :D

Hi all and any,
It is very quiet around here isn't it? Well I'll try my luck and say hello anyway.
I'm an Irish ex-pat living in the Bay area for just about a year now. Have loved Bell X1 for almost a decade now, shesh, I feel old ha Eh, yea, anyway... Going to the acoustic show in SF this Sat and couldn't be more excited. Hopefully I'll meet some friendly faces as I haven't managed to convert any of my American friends yet so am going alone.
Would LOVE a bun now and a good cuppa tea, just doesn't taste the same over here. Cheers for the cravings lads... :)
