Songs Covered

Postby Ferg » Sun Jan 11, 2009 2:36 pm

I heard a song the other day and I could swear that Bell x1 did a cover of it. Either at a concert or on a radio appearance.

So I need to compile a list of ALL songs covered by Bell x1.

I'll start:

Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode
Do You Realise - The Flaming Lips

ps. Is that bell x1 "bootleg" site still up and running? Ya know the one with all the live recordings and such

pps. Wait a minute, The Great Defector comes to mind for some reason...the song I heard sounds an awful lot like that..hum.

Talking Heads that's who it was.

I'll have a listen to those 3 songs see which one it was.

Thanks.

:o They covered Black Betty?! Where-when??? GAH! The tune's in my head already!
I wonder how much begging it would take to get them to play it at their next Toronto gig?

Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime.

Somehow reminded me of Bell x1 when I heard it.

In fact Bell x1 should do a cover of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but bizarrely, I think there's a bit of Just Dance by Lady Gaga? that sounds like the very start of The Great Defector.

Also, they did a great cover of Don Henley's Boys of Summer. It was on the myspace page for a while and they played it at oxegen last year.
