what do we think of Lisa for starters?
and is there anyone going to any of her gigs in the UK or Irel? im off to the one tomorrow in Oxford, small venue, not much demand- can't wait =)
I had the pleasure of seeing Duke Special there in January also, unreal, not even a sell out, intimate- so lets hope for more of the same tomorrow

I went to see her in Sheffield last Wednesday, was absolutely flipping brilliant, she's mesmerising. Best gig ever, no contest.

She's hot. But when ya get past that she is awesome. I really wanna see her live though. Think I'll truly appreciate her then. Pity I never saw herself and Damo together though. That would have been something to witness

Same here  I'm not inclined to be envious usually, but she's so perfect.

I saw her with Damien Rice a few years back, and though it was good, she's so much better on her own. When they did songs together I found myself waiting for her bits. Rocky - she's playing Rosin Dubh in July, for three nights, get your ass in gear. I'd go to all three if I wasn't a million miles away.

The guys playing with her are exceptional too. Tomo on xylophone is something to behold.

Meh, she's as hot as an icecube. I'm sure she's a lovely person, but I just don't see the hotness.

Boyfriend thought she looked rather plain at first, and a bit quirky (photo of her jumping, hair flying in her face). But when we saw her live and then met her afterwards, he's absolutely smitten with her now.

Just in case anyone's in or around Yorkshire in about two weeks time - Lisa's playing Leeds on June 17th! The gig isn't listed on her website, which is extremely odd, but I've just bought my ticket from Jumbo and all seems to be well.

Edit: It's actually July, god damn those sneaky J months.

Lisa has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. :) A few surprises, particularly Doves missing out and Kasabian getting in.

Ah that's brilliant, so happy for her and her boys, they so deserve to win. I was at their gig last week in Leeds and it was as if the whole room fell in love, was quite something to witness.
