Tonights the night. I'll punt on Speech Debelle for this.

Anyone else NOT going for Florence + The Machine ?

You will now ...

I just realised I picked both Jape for the Choice & Speech for the Mercury ... That would have been a tasty double with Paddy Power !!

I dunno - you'd be surprised how little I listen to the radio or watch music tv. I'm not with "it".

getting back to Lisa Hannigan, saw her last year at the Ruby sessions around the time she released the album, she was good but seemed nervous and not used to being the centre of attention, saw her supporting the Swell Season at the National Concert Hall and wow, she was awesome and glimpsed at EP this weekend and she looked totally at home on the main stage....I think she's just going to keep getting better and better....

I was there, was indeed a great performance, and the accoustics really made the most of her voice.

It's a bit off topic again, but what did you think of the Swell Season? And please tell me it wasn't just me who was itching to shout 'wanker' during Glen's (never ending) reading? I thought it was going to be a couple of lines, not half a book... Am I just horribly cynical and uncultured? :D

Nah, Glen seems to have that effect on most folks

to be honest I do enjoy the swell season but i LOVE the frames....back in the day I'd go see them about three times a year and after a few years of that, it did start getting a bit "samey", same stories, same songs, familiarity breeding comtempt, but it's been so long now I'd just love to see them again...thought the encores were brilliant and the acoustics of that room are amazing (s'pose they'd wanna be being the NCH n' all!)...but no I never get sick of Glen and his monologues or reading!!!

If someone can get me up to Dublin for really cheap then I'm there
