Mister golden sun

Postby Nathalie » Sun May 24, 2009 3:52 pm

Please shine down on us...

it's such a beautiful day in Dublin (and i hope everywhere else in the world) that i thought the sun needed its own tribute thread... Plus i really love Dublin under the sun. more of that tomorrow. please. :D
And by the time we stand on our own two feet, we're standing there alone.

I usually prefer the cold, and maybe even rain, but I have to agree it's been a beautiful day. Wouldn't want it all the time, but a nice change for the moment.

"seem" is the right word because as a matter of fact, the weather doesn't make people happier. studies show that people are more or less happy the same way throughout the year. with or without the sun. the rest is just an impression.
as for me, i'm only praying next weekend will be the same. was praising the sun yesterday, but from my desk. worked all afternoon. :(

Ah well, even if it's only an illusion it's a nice one :)
Sorry you had to work :( If it's any consolation I work in an office with no windows so even if it was sunny out today I wouldn't know

i don't use a laptop. i need heavy machinery (pc + 2 screens). plus, you wouldn't see anything on the screen, it was so bright...

One thing I do not enjoy about the change in weather is how people start to smell bloody awful. Just had a very unpleasant half hour's queuing in the post office, bleugh.

They wish.

To avoid violence, city officials have banned the sale of alcohol around the stadium and in airports and stations until Thursday morning. Rome's mayor Gianni Alemanno said: "I have asked [interior] minister, Roberto Maroni, to have maximum attention from the security officers to avoid any incidents. We have [also] spoken to Rome football fans and asked them to show maximum solidarity."
