I heard the horrible rumour that they're talking about cancelling the EP for lack of tickets sale. anyone knows more?

my whole music family will be there. they just can't cancel it. not this year!

sales have been slow, but not enough to cancel. They generally pick up in the few wks before.

I think the cancel rumours are a result of the company in charge going bust.

I'd say that's just a wind-up, the same rumours were going around about Oxegen. Live Nation are now involved with EP, so it'll go ahead, even though Pod has gone bust.

Quote from the Indo: The company said in a statement it had no association with this year’s Electric Picnic or any upcoming shows produced by Mr Reynolds, including any shows in his venues or the Leonard Cohen concerts later this month.

(As read in the Irish Times), the lads are playing the main stage on Sunday.

I'm very proud here. Congrats!! :D

Can't believe i've decided to be good financially and not go. Very likely i'll seriously regret that one...

My dear beautiful boys, is there anything you can do for your poor moderator? please?? (i'll do anything if you can get me a pass. anything.)

Did anyone here go? Would have loved to have gone.
I heard some of the Bellies' set on the radio last night (Tongue, Alphabet Soup, Amelia, Flame, A Better Band and Rocky). Seemed to get a grea reaction from the crowd. :)

Welcome back Merch. You've been missed around here!

Pictures look great (and the music of course!) but of what i can read on the EP in Facebook, it wasn't as great as last year organisation wise. Nevermind the muck, there were a lot of young (drunk) people too. Are they not supposed to be at Oxegen? Or are the young ones richer than the 30 something these days? ... probably. young and bill free.... :x

Some short reviews from folks about the festival ... Good, but not great seems to be the mantra.

Howdy folks. Been a while...

Was at EP, saw Dave's 'solo' set, was right up the front seemed to get a good reception from the crowd. like the new tunes, haven't had a chance to get the album yet.

Saw Dave and Paul in the hot press tent - I WISH I could have thought of an intelligent question to ask cos they asked for audience questions, but the audience asked the same ole questions about is Paul still friends with Damien Rice and are they sick of being compared to Talking Heads......

Was in about the 6th row back at the Bellies set - pretty short set unfortunately but decent. (BTW, Why do tall men always decide to stand in front of me at gigs???) Em, lets see they did (not in this order, I can't remember) How your heart is wired, the great defector, amelia, a better band, flame and rocky, alphabet soup and eve and tongue. Have I forgotton any? seemed to me a lot of the people near me only knew eve, rocky, flame and defector...

Paul was lookin good when i could get a glimpse of him past some tall fellas shoulder... ;) I like the red shirt.

Well there ya go.
