Postby trickster » Mon Nov 29, 2010 5:56 pm

Just thought itd be good to keep track of the new songs popping up at the live shows

So far I recall hearing about:

74 Swans
Built To Last
Velcro
The Trailing Skirt of God
Safer Than Love
Sugar High
Nightwatchmen
Henderson

Thats all I can remember, anyone heard of other new ones?

i would imagine you can listen to it on the website, non? surely they have past recordings of their programs.

I've decided not to listen to the new songs i haven't heard yet. To keep a bit of surprise for next spring. A new album for a new year. i think i'm gonna like 2011 very much. :D

I'll admit i haven't tried but Colm had posted this last week. my last best shot. hope it works.

The lads were on Today FM this morning, they played Goin' Back and two other songs. You can listen back here: http://media.todayfm.com/

Click on Ray D'Arcy Show Tuesday Part 3 - skip to about 15 mins for a bit of a chat and Slowset, about 31 mins for a new song called Sugar High and around 55 mins for Goin' Back.

Nice one. A line from The Trailing Skirts of God, isn't it?

Acoustic versions of most of the new songs are on YouTube.
Btw, the Today FM session isn't available anymore, the link I posted only lasted for a week.

Update:

Another song called "Test of Time" was played at one of the recent shows.

This is an interesting one, a song called "Amsterdam Says" was played at the recent Amsterdam gig, apparently he said it had never been performed ever before which leads me to think its an older song. It is about the time Paul spent living in Amsterdam. Having listened to it I am really, really liking it and I hope it's put on 'Bloodless Coup'

Isn't "Test Of Time" actually Built To Last?
