Anybody have a "new favorite" Bell X1 song?

Postby VocalicPage » Wed Apr 20, 2011 4:51 am

I'm not sure if I actually want to pick a favorite, but if someone had held a gun to my head before Bloodless Coup came out, I probably would have chosen either Bad Skin Day or Amelia. Now, I'm starting to think I'd choose Hey Anna Lena. Maybe I'm just fickle?

The Bsides always floated my boat, more so than album tracks ... Nothing for Velcro that I can find. Shame.

I'm not sure if I've ever had a favourite one really. I really like Nightwatchmen on this one, but to say it's my favourite would be a big call. I've always had a soft spot for Slowset too so I dunno. I mean I'm still a big fan of Rocky and Eve even after all this time too. Not sure would I attempt to pick one.

Such a tough question: like Rocky, I don't think I could ever definitively say I have a favourite, but Beautiful Madness, Alphabet Soup, My First Born For A Song, Bad Skin Day and How Your Heart Is Wired would be up there. The more I listen to Bloodless Coup, the more I love 4-Minute Mile.

Btw, if anyone can pick their favourite Bell X1 song, Hot Press are running a competition where the winner gets the band to play in their house:

Turns out that Hot Press competition is over - they played in a gaff in Maynooth:

I smell a pro-Kildare conspiracy

Saw the guys for the first time just over two weeks ago... before the show, my favorite was 4 Minute Mile, mainly because that deadly intro gets me every time. After, it's Tongue. I'd done some show prep ahead of time, but I'd only bought Flock, Blue Lights and Bloodless Coup. Tongue rocked my face off! Wait another week, and it'll probably change. :)
