Brilliant gig, as ever, in the Olympia last night.
Twas strange starting so late and not having a support band, but it meant the crowd was in good spirit by the time the Bellies started, which made for a lively atmosphere!
The lads were wearing fetching Christmas jumpers by the way:
https://twitter.com/#!/BellX1/status/14 ... 76/photo/1 and they played two or three Christmas songs, with the rest of the setlist split between the last four albums (nothing from Neither Am I
)
Highlights for me were Reacharound, How Your Heart Is Wired, Alphabet Soup with a snippet of Once In A Lifetime, Tongue (as always!) and a really good encore of an acoustic Rocky Took A Lover with a bit of Fairytale of New York at the end, a great version of Sugar High and finishing with I'll See Your Heart and a bit of Horse Outside, strangely enough. ... oh and of course, Dom singing Last Christmas!
