Live on Today FM @ 11am Today

We will be playing 3 songs live on The Ray D’Arcy Show on Today FM today…. tune in between 11am and 12pm. Will include the debut of a new song called “Sugar High.”

We hit the dressing room at half time in Waterford last night and were greeted by the most wonderous sight…

Thank you, thank you to Master Bakers Esme and Ruah for the apple cake (moist, correct amount of cinnamon, no dried fruit to annoy Dominic…) and the wonderfully iced sponge cake (not a Victoria sponge, as I was sternly corrected…)

Galway & Limerick, lovely lads…we had been in The Town Hall Galway before, many years ago opening for The Frames, and remember it fondly.

This time the rain did not come lashin, splish splashing, round the town in a Galway fashion.
St John’s Church in Limerick is a very wonderful venue, if a bit swimmy…thank to Daghdha for letting us in!
In Biscuit, Cake & Fine Confectionary news, we had a gentleman caller to the dressing room window in Galway, a Wise Man bearing gifts.
This be him. Thank you, kind sir.

And in Limerick, among the sturdy Cadbury’s Fingers and aforementioned skanky Jaffa Cakes there lay my boyhood favorite, the Fox’s Classic Bar. Occasionally boys would steal him from my lunchbox, and then I saw a darkness…

So we’re back out and battling the elements in Ireland South Westish…and like a big warm hug, Mrs Phil Soundman made us a teacake for halftime refreshments

Now, I wouldn’t normally be a fan of the brack, or similar Christmas cake and the like, and Dominic has very strong feelings about the use of raisins or sultanas or any dried fruit in a confection…but this was very lovely and most welcome. Thank you thank you.

In Clonakilty Ray burst into the dressing room at half time, having just been made aware of the high stakes involved, swept aside the commendable selection of biscuits and offered a homemade Pumpkin Pie I think it was. It was a strange beast…bang of the korma offa it. Savoury. Weird.

The night spun out in a whirl of pints and that most traditional of Clonakilty offerings – the Sambasco (Sambuca & Tabasco…). Thanks for looking after us so well. Yissir a gem
